Connect to Resource

Birds of the World is a research database that brings together scholarly content from four reference works of ornithology:

  • Birds of North America
  • The Handbook of the Birds of the World
  • Neotropical Birds
  • Bird Families of the World

With the integration of bird observations from eBird and images from Macaulay Library, Birds of the World is a powerful ornithological resource that provides comprehensive information about each bird species, including characteristics, distribution, systematics, migration, habitat, food habits, behaviour, breeding, conservation and sounds.
