The British Columbia Building Code 2006 (BCBC) sets out technical provisions for the design and construction of new buildings. It also applies to the alteration, change of use and demolition of existing buildings.The BC Building Code is published in an objective-based format for the first time in the 2006 edition.
The objective-based format organizes the BCBC into three Divisions:- Division A, which defines the scope of the Code and contains the objectives, the functional statements and the conditions necessary to achieve compliance;
- Division B, which contains acceptable solutions (formerly referred to as technical requirements) deemed to satisfy the objectives and functional statements listed in Division A. Most of these are carried forward from the 1998 BCBC; and
- Division C, which contains administrative provisions.
The electronic versions of the BC Building Code are also linked to two new types of explanatory material (Intent and Application Statements):
- intent statements (detailed statements on the specific intent of the provision); and
- application statements (detailed statements on what the provision applies to).

DRAM is a not-for-profit resource providing educational communities with on-demand streaming access to CD-quality audio (192kbps Mp4), complete original liner notes and essays from independent record labels and sound archives. Continuing in the tradition of DRAM's sister company New World Records, one of DRAM's primary focuses is the preservation and dissemination of important recordings that have been neglected by the commercial marketplace, recordings that may otherwise become lost or forgotten.
Currently DRAM's collection contains nearly 2,300 albums worth of recordings from a distinctive set of 15 independent labels, and we are continually working to add more content. The basis for the current collection is the diverse catalogue of American music recordings by New World Records. From folk to opera, Native American to jazz, 19th century classical to early rock, musical theater, contemporary, electronic and beyond, New World has served composers, artists, students and the general public since its inception in 1975 with a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation.
DRAM also includes music from other contributing sources, including the CRI, Albany, innova, Cedille, XI, Pogus, Deep Listening and Mutable Music labels. In the future, alliances with other major and independent labels and archival sources will be crucial to enhancing DRAM's role of serving the needs of serious music scholars.

The Quan guo bao kan suo yin index, compiled by the Shanghai Library, provides access to Chinese article titles from 1833 onwards to the present. The periodical index you have access to (Pian ming) should have already been selected by default. Once a citation has been found, check the UBC holdings to retrieve the article itself, or put in an ILL request. You cannot request the article from the Shanghai Library directly even it it looks that way from the display screen; however, our ILL office will have that possibility.

- Traités français sur la musique (TFM)
Traités français sur la musique (TFM) is an evolving full-text database of writings in the French language on music. It is designed to extend the Thesaurus Musicarum Latinarum (TML) and to continue the endeavor of capturing Western European texts on music theory and aesthetics in electronic form. The TFM focuses on the major treatises written in French but also incorporates other texts involving music, allowing them to be downloaded, browsed, and searched. The database will eventually comprise all relevant manuscript and printed materials from the Middle Ages through the nineteenthth century.
