AIGYPTOS - A database for Egyptological literature AIGYPTOS was developed as a tool to enable a quick and precise search for Egyptological publications. With its help you can find the latest material for any Egyptological subject you are interested in either by use of a single search term or by combination of several keywords. The database was developed in 1990 at the Institute of Egyptology of the University of Munich, Germany. Since 1996 the Department of Egyptology at the University of Heidelberg, Germany has participated in processing the material. AIGYPTOS has a German or English interface. Amazon Amazon is a book search engine and an online book ordering business. Americana Exchange Americana Exchange is a web-based resource for everything related to rare book collecting, antiquarian books, book auctions, old books, used books, Americana, hard to find and out of print books. The AE bibliographic database contains over 2 million records pertaining to fiction and non-fiction books, maps and ephemera including drama and poetry, science and medicine, angling, sports materials,binding, private press and a wide assortment of other printed items. There are extensive bibliographic records for the bibliophile but the emphasis is on priced records that contain information of significance. Annotated Bibliography of Canadian Demography This bibliography, produced by the Population Studies Centre, University of Western Ontario, covers research on Canada's population. The material originates in such primary sources as journals, books, research monographs, doctoral dissertations and government publications. It also covers such topical publications as working paper and discussion paper series. Items published in French and English are included. The database contains material gathered since the last Annotated Bibliography of Canadian Demography (1990-1994) Art Theorists of the Italian Renaissance This database is structured around the 2 Italian editions of Giorgio Vasari's "Lives of the Artists" (1550 and 1568). BC Building Code The British Columbia Building Code 2006 (BCBC) sets out technical provisions for the design and construction of new buildings. It also applies to the alteration, change of use and demolition of existing buildings. The BC Building Code is published in an objective-based format for the first time in the 2006 edition. Canada Supreme Court Reports (via HeinOnline) Contains the official, bilingual series published under authority of the Supreme Court Act. DACHS (Digital Archive for Chinese Studies) The Digital Archive for Chinese Studies (DACHS) is a project founded at the Institute of Chinese Studies at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. DACHS "[...] aims at identifying, archiving and making accessible Internet resources relevant for Chinese Studies, with special emphasis on social and political discourse as reflected by articulations on the Chinese Internet" (mission statement). The metadata section of DACHS is open to everyone. Access to the documents and resources themselves is restricted to password owners. The database indexes the works of contemporary female German writers and translators, with entries for more than 176,000 monographs, 33,000 works published in collections, and nearly 9,000 radio dramas. Additional features include biographical data and portraits. Dictionary of Literary Biography Dictionary of Literary Biography is contained within the Gale Literary Databases. This resource provides nearly 10,000 biographical and critical essays on the lives, works, and careers of influential literary figures from all eras and genres. Dictionary entries include personal data (birth/death dates, nationality/ethnicity), principal works and sources for further study. Digital Dictionary of Buddhism The Digital Dictionary of Buddhism contains terms from Chinese, Japanese and Korean Buddhism. Topics covered include temple, schools, and people found in Buddhist canonical sources. The dictionary is a collaborative effort, and regular users are encouraged to contribute data. The dictionary is fully searchable, and the site also includes browsable indices, presentations about the dictionary, and details of contributors. DRAM DRAM is a not-for-profit resource providing educational communities with on-demand streaming access to CD-quality audio (192kbps Mp4), complete original liner notes and essays from independent record labels and sound archives. Continuing in the tradition of DRAM's sister company New World Records, one of DRAM's primary focuses is the preservation and dissemination of important recordings that have been neglected by the commercial marketplace, recordings that may otherwise become lost or forgotten. Currently DRAM's collection contains nearly 2,300 albums worth of recordings from a distinctive set of 15 independent labels, and we are continually working to add more content. The basis for the current collection is the diverse catalogue of American music recordings by New World Records.
