Access is available to all residents within British Columbia via the "Points to the Past" Portal HERE.

Consists of four parts:

  • The debates over slavery and abolition
  • The slave trade in the Atlantic world
  • The institution of slavery
  • The age of emancipation

Includes material drawn from a wide range of institutions including the Amistad Research Center, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, the British Library, the National Archives in Kew, Oberlin College, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, the University of Miami, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and others.
