Please be advised that the personal information you disclose when creating an account is stored on servers located in the United States. When you use this service, no personal information about you is collected by or for UBC. Canadian privacy laws do not apply to personal information you provide to Bloomberg.

Your creation and use of a personal log-in ID for Bloomberg is an implicit acknowledgement that you have read, and agree with, this notice.

You can only set up your personal login ID with your personal ubc.ca email address. Using a ubc.ca email account that does not belong to you constitutes non-academic misconduct. You cannot use a non-UBC employer’s address.

UBC Sauder School of Business students can access Bloomberg via machines in the Wayne Deans Invesment Analysis Centre and the Leith Wheeler Investment Analysis Lab.  Non-Sauder UBC students may use any Bloomberg terminal in the Leith Wheeler Investment Analysis Lab, CLC 222 if it is not in use or booked by a Sauder student. If a Sauder student has booked a terminal they may ask the non-Sauder student to move to a different terminal. Terminal 6 is no longer bookable, and is available on strictly a drop-in basis. Please limit your usage to 2 hours per day.

Bloomberg is licensed for academic purposes only. Users cannot use this product for commercial purposes.

Bloomberg has data downloading limits. If a monthly downloading limit is reached, all the Bloomberg machines that share that license will also have reached that data limit and users will have to wait until the beginning of the next month before it resets. Please be judicious in downloading data to avoid hitting the limits for yourself and for all other users. For more information about Bloomberg data limits, read the blog post.

Please note that more than 3 unsuccessful login attempts will lock the station. If this happens, please use the "forgot your password" function within Bloomberg.
