Planet.com Satellite Imagery Archive and Basemaps User accounts are provided by request. To request an account, please click the hypertext or Connect to Resource (whichever appears above) to fill out a request form. Accounts will be created within 1-3 business days. Planet.com provides access to PlanetScope, RapidEye, and SkySat satellite imagery archives, and Visual BaseMap for streaming and download. Current UBC students, staff, and faculty now have access to a global archive of multi-spectral satellite imagery dating back to 2009. Students, faculty, and staff interested in individual access to UBC’s Planet.com imagery archive and/or basemap data may fill out the form below to request an account. Account creation may take 1-3 business days. Individual users: please click Connect to Resource to request an account. Teaching or research labs interested in group access to UBC’s Planet.com imagery archive or basemap data may contact the library's GIS support for more information. PRIVACY NOTICE: UBC Library makes the Planet.com service available for you for your convenience. Your use of Planet.com is voluntary. Please be advised that the personal information you disclose when creating an account is stored on servers located in the United States. When you use this service, personal information about you is collected by UBC Library to create your user account. Only your name and email are submitted to Planet.com by UBC Library. Canadian privacy laws do not apply to personal information provided to Planet.com. Please review the Planet.com Privacy Statement on their website before using this service if you have any concerns.
