Connect to Resource

One of Vancouver's two daily newspapers. Launched as the Vancouver Daily Province on 26 Mar 1898, it had the largest circulation in the city until 1949 when, hurt badly by a 41-month printers' strike, it was surpassed by the Vancouver Sun. The Province became a morning paper in 1957. It has been a tabloid since August 1983.
