CANSIM is a comprehensive database from Statistics Canada containing more than 52 million numeric time series covering a wide variety of social and economic indicators.

The link above is to the University of Toronto's subscription service.  Free, unrestricted acces to Statistics Canada's CANSIM is here.

CANSIM time series data are published in monthly and annual reports; currently most series are published online on the Statistics Canada website. UBC Library has a historical print collection in the Koerner Gov Pubs Statistics Canada Collection and in the Koerner Library stacks. Additional online access is via the Government of Canada Publications Catalogue. Publications contain definitions and notes on methodology in addition to the statistical tables.
